Serving Our Community Since the Beginning
Klickitat County EMS District #1 was established to meet the growing need for professional emergency medical services in the White Salmon area and surrounding Klickitat County communities.
From our earliest days as a small volunteer organization, we have grown into a fully staffed, professionally trained emergency medical services district — equipped with modern ambulances and life-saving technology.
Our mission has always remained the same: to provide the fastest, most effective emergency medical care possible to every person in our service area, regardless of circumstance.

Our Journey
District Established
Klickitat County EMS District #1 is formally established to provide dedicated emergency medical services to the White Salmon area.
Fleet Expansion
The district expands its ambulance fleet and upgrades equipment to meet increasing call volume and community growth.
Advanced Life Support
Paramedic-level Advanced Life Support services are introduced, bringing higher-level care directly to patients in the field.
New Station
A modern station facility at 211 Skyline Dr. is established, improving response times and providing a professional base of operations.
Community Growth
